Be advised our sweets are not made in a nut-free kitchen. Though we do our best to keep all our allergens separate, we do produce products in the same kitchen that contain dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, and nuts. We cannot 100% guarantee that there aren’t traces of these elements within our kitchen.
-
What is the best way to contact you?Text or email is always preferred. It is the quickest way to get a response, too. My plate is pretty full so I don’t have a ton of time to take phone calls. Plus, I always like having things in writing so I can go back and double check details like dates, cake flavors, spelling of a name, etc.
-
Can I stop by your bakery? We are not a brick and mortar bakery. We are a cottage kitchen; meaning we work out of a home based kitchen and studio. Since this is also where my family resides and out of respect for them and keeping our business and personal lives separate, we don’t currently allow people to stop in. With that being said, if you have a tasting scheduled, I am happy to travel to you or your venue to have an in person tasting.
-
Do you have a price sheet for cakes?Unfortunately, I don’t have a set-pricing sheet. All sweets are bespoke and custom designed to each client’s wants and needs. Shoot me an email with the date of your event, how many guests will be attending, and the style of cake you are after and I will quote you specifically. Please keep in mind we have a minimum order of $100 for custom orders. You can head over to the pricing section HERE to get an understanding of base pricing.
-
What is a "bakery style" cake?"A bakery style cake is a more simple design. Something closer in style to what you might find pre-made in a bakery, but much more elegant in design. The cake is not fully customizable. What I mean by that is, it won’t have a specific theme. Rather, you can only customize by choosing your cake flavor and color palette. The rest is up to the discretion of the baker. You can always add your own cake topper to have it match a theme if need be.
-
Why do you offer a discount for free reign on designs?Honestly because that’s where I am the happiest and the most creative. Of course the cake will be within your theme, color pallette, and flavor choices… I just get to design it from the ground up. I get to truly let my creative juices flow and design within my style. That’s worth something in my mind. You throw me a bone, and I’ll throw you one. Simple as that!
-
Do you make custom cake toppers?Yes! I can make custom cake toppers that can say pretty much whatever you want them to. We have a laser cutter in house, so we can make toppers out of paper, wood, or acrylic. Send me your ideas and I will let you know if I can accomplish it!
-
What is a dummy cake? The purpose of a dummy cake is so that you can have the look and feel of a large cake without the waste or added cost. For instance, if you are only having a party with 20 guests but want a 2-tier cake, you can use a dummy for one of the tiers and save yourself some money. A dummy cake is a foam round that is decorated like any other cake. Once decorated, it looks like a real cake and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. When it comes time to cut your cake, just pop off the dummy tier and cut the real tier as usual.
-
Can I have a cake shaped like a unicorn floating on a cloud?I mean, that definitely sounds pretty epic… and I think we should be friends given your ingenious creativity. However, I’m not your girl when it comes to actually making the cake. I tend to keep to standard shapes like round, square, sheet, etc. That being said, if you want an awesomely, magical unicorn floating on a cloud THEMED cake… I got you!
-
Do you have gluten free or vegan desserts?I do! However, my flavor offerings in both vegan and gluten-free are limited. I am working on making all my flavors in those options, but it’s a work in progress. I refuse to sell a cake that doesn’t live up to my standard of taste. So if you are looking for those options, please reach out to me for flavor selections!
-
Do you work in a nut-free kitchen? Please be advised our sweets are not made in a nut-free kitchen. Though we do our best to keep all our allergens separate, we do produce products in the same kitchen that contain dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, and nuts. We have never had an issue, but because we bake all types of desserts, using gluten and nuts, we cannot 100% guarantee that there aren’t traces of these elements within our kitchen. We are extremely careful when it comes to dietary requirements, but if you have an allergy we must advise you to use your discretion. Please inform me at the time of order if you do have an allergy that I need to be extra cautious about.
-
What flavor of cake do you have?Tons of flavors! The list is constantly expanding as well, so check back often. If you don’t see what you are looking for, or have a custom flavor in mind just let me know and we can make it happen. I’m always up for a challenge. You can find the current list HERE

Why do you only offer babkas during the holidays? If Girl Scout cookies were offered year round would they have the same allure? Just kidding! In all honesty, babka making takes over my entire kitchen and workspace. It’s a difficult and time-consuming process, and a real labor of love for me. Dough takes time to proof and rise, and my kitchen needs to be at a certain temperature to do that. So basically when babkas are being made it shuts down all other dessert orders. That’s why babkas are only offered for a few weeks out of the year. Come back here around the holidays (Christmas & Hanukkah) to get your order in!
-
But I want to order babkas for an event and it's only June!Hey I feel you, babkas for an event totally makes you a rockstar! If you are interested in a bulk order I would be more than happy to shut down the kitchen and work on babkas! However, it must be a bulk order, not just a few loaves. Please keep in mind, because I don’t make babkas all year, I don’t always have all the ingredients on hand. I would need some notice in order to track down what I need. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and see if we can make your babka dreams come true!
-
Where are you located?I am located in Coral Gables (Miami), Florida.
-
Do you deliver? If so, how far?"Yes! I currently offer delivery within Miami Dade County for $35. I will also deliver outside of Miami Dade for an additional fee.
-
Why don't you offer fondant cakes? As mentioned in my “about me” section, I love all sorts of baking, but the one thing that is most important to me is flavor. If you have the most beautiful cake in the world, but it tastes dry and horrible, what is the point? The fact that I am a flavor snob also brought about my loathe of fondant. There is no doubt fondant has its place, and you can’t deny it’s beautiful. However, it tastes horrible, it’s expensive, and 90% of people don’t even eat it. So I have spent my entire baking journey trying to perfect my buttercream skills. My goal is to make all my cakes as closely mimic the look of fondant without sacrificing the taste. I will of course use fondant accents and details, but I prefer not to fully cover a cake with fondant. Plus there is something nostalgic about buttercream frosting and childhood memories. I call that winning! Everything you see on my site is 100% buttercream or ganached covered cakes.
-
What is the difference between a layer and a tier? I am confused...Layers are what make up a single tier. So layers are referring to the cake inside one tier.
-
I called you and left a message. Why haven't I hear back yet?Text and email are always the best way to get ahold of me. So if you haven’t heard back, please try there. You will always get the quickest response that way. In addition to baking, I am also a full time photographer, so my plate is rather full and I don’t have a ton of time to sit down and talk on the phone. Usually, I work on admin in the middle of the night and it wouldn’t be an appropriate time to call people back. Please also keep in mind I won’t quote over the phone due to the fact I like to go over a cake design and really put into detail the cost of ingredients and supplies so I can properly quote. It’s hard to do that over the phone, as I don’t have set pricing. If you feel like you would like to chat about cake design, please feel free to email me and I would be more than happy to set up a phone call. Again, we can discuss details, but I will email you a quote after the phone call.
-
How far in advance should I place my order?Typically we are fully booked about 4-6 weeks out with a few lucky openings scattered throughout, so the earlier the better! All orders are first come first serve with limited availability. We recommend placing your order at least 4-6 weeks prior to your event. However, if it’s a last minute request, please reach out and I can see what I can do!
-
Do you require payment when I place an order?Yes! Unfortunately, like with any business, we can experience no-shows. To avoid us being left out-of-pocket, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit on all orders. Your order and date are not secure until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is required to be paid in full a minimum of two weeks prior to delivery or collection of your desserts. If you book your order with less than two weeks notice, full non-refundable payment is due at time of booking.
-
I found a picture of a little cake that I like on Pinterest. Can you copy it?I will never fully copy a design. That wouldn’t be right! However, the more information the better, and photos are helpful to understand the style and design you are looking for. Please send me your pictures, just know, they will only be used for inspirational purposes.
-
Can we have a cake tasting?Cake tastings are ONLY available for wedding and large event cakes. For cake tastings we will have an in person consultation at a location within Miami Dade of your choosing. A tasting includes 5 of our most popular cake flavors and 10 samples of various buttercreams and fillings. You do not get to choose your flavors, but rather the cake tasting is designed for you to be able to mix and match popular flavors and fillings and give you a good idea of the quality of our cakes. However, if you have an aversion to a specific flavor (ex: you hate chocolate) please let me know up front. Tastings are $100 for 2 people and must be booked in advance. If you ultimately book the full size cake, your $100 tasting fee will be applied to any order over $600.
-
Do you have any cake stands available?Yes! I have a large collection of various stands. You can rent a stands from me for an added fee. It is the responsibility of the client to return the stand in its original condition within 48hours of the events end.
-
I want a custom dessert table. How do I go about doing that?At this time I no longer offer dessert table design. However, I obviously still do custom desserts for dessert tables. I will happily work with you or your event planner to work out all the perfect desserts, and possible stands needed. I will also help setup the desserts the day of your event as well. If you need an event planner, or a dessert table designer I can definitely recommend some amazing planners that I have worked with personally.
-
How do I store my cake after pick up / delivery? This will depend on what type/flavor of dessert, and how close it is to the event. I will always let you know if it must be refrigerated or not. I highly recommend you do not display your cakes or desserts outside. South Florida tends to be humid most of the year, which causes buttercream cakes to sweat if they are left out too long. If your house is cool, my buttercream cakes can sit out for a day and be completely fine. Once your cake is cut, an airtight container and refrigerator will ensure you get the most from your cake. You can also freeze it for long-term enjoyment.
-
I've decided to pick up my own cake. What is the best way to transport it?If you decide to pick up your cake, please make sure you make room in your car for the cake to go flat on the floor. Do NOT place the cake on the seat as it will be slightly tilted and every bump and vibration has the ability to shift the layers. If you don’t have space flat on the floorboard, than you can also place it in the trunk of your car, which sounds scary, but take our word for it! The cake will move with the car and will be boxed neatly to help support cake during its travel. If you don’t have a flat surface in your car, it is highly suggested that you get delivery. Please drive slowly and take turns easily. Smaller cakes should have zero problems, but the higher the tiers the smoother you should drive. Please note that once the cakes and treats have left Aloha Love Sweets, we cannot take any responsibility for damage in relation to how it has been travelled.
-
What do I do if I need to change my order? It happens, I totally get it! I will always try to accommodate any changes within reason. Changes to your order should be communicated immediately. If it is a minor change (change of icing or adding more cupcakes, flowers, toppers, etc.) 7 days notice is fine. Otherwise, 2 weeks notice is required for any major changes. Customers will be notified of any price alterations in regards to changes before they are confirmed.
-
What is your cancellation policy? The initial 50% deposit for your order is strictly non-refundable so please ensure you are 100% happy to book your order. However, if you chose to pay in full up front, and cancel more than 2 weeks of your event, 50% can be refunded otherwise the full amount is forfeited. This is due to the fact that I do a lot of preparation once orders are made whether it be ordering cake toppers, cookie cutters, supplies, flowers, etc. I also turn down other orders in order accommodate yours.
